IEM Supports SRS’s Events Locally and Abroad
September 2010
Since 2003, the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) has selected IEM as their Technical Meeting Producer of Record for the Society’s two premier global events: SRS Annual Meeting & CME Course and the International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques (IMAST). This year IEM traveled to Kyoto, Japan (Annual Meeting & Course) and Toronto, CA (IMAST) to manage both of these programs’ technical meeting components including audio visual equipment and labor coordination, presentation management and e-poster services.
Since SRS is an international organization, they need to support their members by staging their programs globally. Therefore, the IEM event team has produced SRS meetings all over the US and in many international cities including Rome, Banff, Hong Kong, Vienna, Athens, Edinburgh, and Buenos Aires. “One of the reasons why SRS continues to rely on IEM’s event management services is because of our expertise in managing global meetings,” says Tom Kann, president of IEM. “Our cross-border technology and labor management experience, along with our strategic international alliances, enables IEM to successfully develop and manage meetings literally anywhere in the world for our clients.” IEM is looking forward to supporting SRS again in 2011 with events in Louisville, Kentucky and Copenhagen, Denmark.
